  • When I discovered surfing I knew my life was changed forever. There’s an inexplicable feeling all surfers know when riding a wave. No other sport is as fun, as challenging, and as dependent on nature. Wind energy transferred into the ocean, traveling thousands of miles, forming into waves at your Local Break. If you’re lucky, you might even get out and catch a few!

  • How It Started

    As I began surfing more I quickly realized that the gear we rely on to get to the beach and into the water is almost as critical as the gear that gets us into the waves. But I found the current solutions hadn’t gotten the attention they deserved. With my background in engineering, I set out to solve this.

    I started making the products I wish I’d had as a surfer. My goal is simple: to create products that help you get from your door to the shore, so that you can surf more. Local Breaks’ products are designed by surfers, for surfers. They’re the result of countless beach trips, feedback loops, and a deep love for the sea.

Our Mission

We believe that surfing should be accessible, enjoyable, and hassle-free for everyone. We’re driven by a simple mission: to create surf accessories that make getting into the water easier for every surfer.

We surfers are passionate about every aspect of the sport. We build up quivers, track forecasts, and rearrange plans to make the most of a swell. Yet, when it comes to the accessories that help us get to the water, the options just don't measure up. Local Breaks is working to change that.

Identifying the Problem

Every surfer knows the frustration of lugging a big or heavy surfboard to and from the beach. This challenge is even more pronounced for beginners, children, and those with limited mobility. Traditional surfboard carriers were either too cumbersome or simply ineffective.

We learned firsthand how tricky it can be to carry a board. After spending so much time out of the water trying to get into it, I realized something was missing: a better way to handle the gear that gets us to the waves.

Our Solution: The Aqua Arm Surfboard Carrier

After countless prototypes and rigorous testing, the Aqua Arm Surfboard Carrier was born. This innovative product is designed to be compact, lightweight, and ergonomic, making it the perfect companion for any surfer. Made from durable PETG and 3D printed for precision and a reduced manufacturing footprint, our carrier features a comfortable handle and an adjustable strap for added convenience.
